A Complete Conshohocken Exterior Transformation
Challenge
A Conshohocken homeowner contacted Preferred Home Improvement with a vision for updating several major components of their home's exterior. Built in 1993, the home had its original vinyl siding along with approximately 14–15 windows and two exterior doors that were ready to be replaced.
The front porch was another area in need of improvement. The homeowner wanted to move away from the existing setup and create a more durable, attractive outdoor entry space that would complement the home's updated exterior.
Rather than completing these improvements separately over time, the homeowner decided to approach the project as a complete exterior renovation.
With so many exterior elements being updated at once, creating a cohesive design was an important part of the project. The goal was to modernize the home while selecting materials that offered both durability and long-term value.
The exterior was designed around Antique Parchment Prodigy AZEK 4" siding, providing a warm neutral foundation for the home's new look. The siding would be paired with updated windows and doors, followed by a complete front porch renovation using durable, low-maintenance materials.
Solution
The existing vinyl siding was replaced with Prodigy AZEK 4" siding in Antique Parchment, giving the home a fresh and sophisticated appearance while dramatically updating its curb appeal.
Approximately 14–15 Okna windows were installed as part of the renovation, replacing the home's existing windows and contributing to a more modern, cohesive exterior.
The entry points of the home were updated as well, with a new front door and patio door replacing the existing doors.
The front porch received a complete transformation with TimberTech Edge Prime+ decking in Sea Salt Gray. The project included seven steps and risers and Radiance Express railing, providing the porch with a clean, finished appearance and creating a more inviting entrance to the home.
To add additional character to the new porch, a 7' x 5' decorative column wrapped in AZEK was incorporated into the design. The architectural detail ties the porch into the new siding and creates a strong focal point at the home's entrance.
Approximately 14 feet of new gutters with 2" x 3" downspouts were also included, helping improve water management around the home while completing the exterior renovation.
The finished project transformed the home's exterior from top to bottom.
The new siding provides a completely refreshed appearance, while the updated windows and doors modernize the home's openings. The new TimberTech porch adds another layer of functionality and curb appeal, creating a welcoming outdoor entry space built with durable materials.
Most importantly, the various components were selected and installed as part of one cohesive design. The Antique Parchment siding, Sea Salt Gray decking, AZEK architectural details, new windows, doors, railing, and gutters work together to create a polished exterior that feels intentional from every angle.
A home's exterior is the first thing people see, but it also plays an important role in protecting the structure and creating a comfortable place to live.
For this Conshohocken homeowner, the project was an opportunity to move beyond simple replacements and create a complete exterior that combines durability, functionality, and timeless design.
The result is a renewed home exterior with a beautiful new front porch, updated siding, windows, doors, and exterior details—giving this 1993 home an entirely new look while setting it up for the years ahead.
